Cookie Policy
1. About This Document
This page describes which cookies and similar technologies Cassiterit.info uses, why they are needed, and how you can manage your choices. The document supplements the Privacy Policy, which covers information handling in general; here we address only browser storage technologies.
The principle is straightforward: necessary cookies always run because the site cannot remember your settings choice without them. Analytics and marketing technologies are not activated until you give consent.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser on your computer, tablet, or phone. They hold technical information — for example, a note that the settings panel was already shown, or an anonymized identifier for aggregated visit statistics.
Cookies may be session-based or persistent. Session cookies are removed when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain on the device until they expire or you delete them. Alongside cookies, sites use similar browser mechanisms such as local storage; we use it to remember your selected categories.
Cookies do not run programs, read files on your device, or transfer malicious code. They are data records accessible to the site that set them.
3. Categories We Use
The site uses three cookie categories, each represented by a separate toggle in the settings panel.
- Necessary. Support basic page operation, connection security, and storage of your settings choice. They cannot be disabled in the panel — without them the site cannot remember even a refusal of other categories.
- Analytics. Help us understand which materials are read, which pages are opened rarely, and where visitors leave the site. Data is used in aggregated form without identifying a specific person.
- Marketing. Used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns that bring visitors to the site and to avoid showing ads to people who already submitted an inquiry. This category is off by default.
4. Necessary Cookies
Necessary cookies include records required for pages to work correctly: interface state information, security markers, and your saved settings panel choice. We set them based on legitimate interest because they are not used for advertising or behavioral tracking.
Your selected categories are saved in browser local storage under the key "permitfold-cookie-settings". This record prevents the settings panel from appearing on every visit and ensures your decision applies across all site pages.
If you completely block data storage in the browser, the site remains readable, but you will need to confirm settings again on each visit.
5. Analytics Cookies
Analytics technologies connect only after you consent to this category. They collect summary metrics: visit counts, referral sources, popularity of individual materials, average time on page, and device type.
We use this data to see which topics help readers and decide what to improve — for example, which materials to expand and which sections are rarely read.
If you decline analytics, the related scripts do not run and statistics for your visit are not collected.
6. Marketing Cookies
Marketing technologies also activate only with your consent. They show whether a visit came from an advertisement and help assess whether the ad was relevant. For us this is a way to avoid spending budget on impressions that help no one.
We do not use these technologies to build profiles of private life and do not sell collected data. If you decline the category, you may still see advertising elsewhere on the internet, but it will be less relevant and we cannot measure its effectiveness.
For advertising and analytics tools we pass a signal about your consent: categories stay off until you enable them and activate immediately after you save your choice.
7. Third-Party Cookies
Some technologies are set not by us but by services we use: web analytics platforms, advertising systems, and the mapping service through which our address is displayed. Those records follow the rules of those services, and we do not control their content.
We connect third-party services in minimal scope and only for purposes described in this document. We recommend reading the privacy policies of platforms we use if their details matter to you.
8. Managing Your Choice on Our Site
On your first visit, a settings panel opens with three categories and three actions: accept all, accept selected, or keep necessary only.
The decision is not final. Every page includes a persistent cookie settings button that opens and closes the same panel, where you can enable or disable categories at any time. A new choice applies immediately and replaces the previous one.
The panel works with a keyboard and closes with the Escape key, so settings can be managed without a mouse.
9. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Regardless of site settings, you can manage cookies through your browser. Any modern browser includes a privacy and site data section where you can delete saved files, block them entirely, or allow them only for specific sites.
The exact path depends on your browser and version, so the most reliable approach is to open built-in help and search for cookies. Private browsing mode also deletes site data when the window closes.
If you delete saved files, your category choice on our site will reset as well and the settings panel will appear again.
10. What Changes If You Disable Cookies
Site materials, navigation, the contact form, and legal documents remain available regardless of your choice — the site works the same without optional categories. Declining analytics and marketing affects only us: we receive less data about what to improve.
A full browser-level block on data storage means the settings panel will appear on every visit because there is nowhere to save your decision.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this document when the technologies we use change or when legal requirements change. The current version is always on this page, and the last update date appears at the top.
If changes are material, we will note that on this page and, if needed, request your consent again for optional categories.

Important Information
The materials on this site offer general reference notes about home solar permits, approvals, and inspections. They are intended to help homeowners understand the documentation path between signing an install contract and receiving permission to operate a system.
PermitFold is not a solar installation company. We do not mount panels, schedule installation crews, or submit permit applications on behalf of homeowners. We are not a government permitting authority and cannot issue approvals or stamps.
PermitFold is not an equipment retailer. We do not sell solar panels, inverters, batteries, or related hardware, and we do not compare brands or product models.
Approval timelines, utility rate structures, and interconnection requirements change frequently and vary by state, municipality, and utility territory. Verify current requirements through your local building department and electric utility provider.
Grid interconnection, electrical panel work, and structural load assessments require licensed professionals. Do not attempt panel wiring, meter modifications, or roof structural changes without qualified supervision.
Every home, neighborhood, and jurisdiction follows different rules. Document requirements and approval sequences that work in one county may not apply in another. Do not copy a permit folder from a neighbor without confirming local requirements.
Decisions about contractors, system sizing, and installation timing remain yours. We recommend working with licensed installers, structural engineers, and local building officials before acting on any information presented here.
